Galp appoints Saave Nakashole as Deputy Country Manager in Namibi

Galp Namibia announces the appointment of Saave Nakashole as Deputy Country Manager, Public and Operational Affairs, further strengthening its leadership structure in the country.

Saave joins Galp with extensive experience across Namibia’s energy sector, combining technical expertise in geoscience with a solid track record in upstream development, asset evaluation, stakeholder engagement and institutional collaboration.

Prior to joining Galp, Saave spent 14 years at the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia, NAMCOR, where she contributed to subsurface evaluations, asset assessments, upstream strategic growth initiatives and the assessment of commercial opportunities. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with government institutions, international operators and joint venture partners, and has served as a board member of the Namibian Petroleum Operators Association, NAMPOA.

In her new role, Saave will support Galp Namibia’s public and operational affairs agenda, contributing to the company’s engagement with national stakeholders and to the development of its activities in the country.

Her appointment reflects Galp’s commitment to reinforcing local expertise, fostering constructive institutional collaboration and supporting the responsible and sustainable development of Namibia’s energy sector, in alignment with the country’s development priorities.

A geoscientist by training, Saave holds a BSc degree in Geology and Environmental Science from the University of Namibia, a BSc Honours in Geology from Rhodes University, and a master’s degree in Petroleum Geosciences from Heriot-Watt University. She also holds a certificate in Project Management and completed the Senior Management Development Programme at the University of Stellenbosch.
